Our party
of 4 visited the Edison Park Steakhouse on February
18, 2005 at
about 5:30 pm. This relatively
new restaurant is one of the four members of the Aubrey’s Family of restaurants, which include Aubrey’s Café,
Barleys Taproom and Pizzeria, and the SunSpot. Edison Park is known for its Chicago style steaks, a variety of soups, fresh seafood, and desserts.
For more information on this restaurant visit their web site at Edison Park.

Edison Park offers fine dining in a modern rendition of a 1940’s style restaurant.
The steaks at this restaurant were excellent and upheld their reputation as a fine steakhouse. Other dishes; however, were somewhat disappointing. For example,
the Cajun Gumbo, while flavorful, was fairly skimpy on shrimp. The crab cake
appetizer was also somewhat mediocre. The desserts were a pleasant surprise –
I highly recommend the Crème Brulee. With our reservations, we were seated quickly. The servers were reasonably efficient but not as friendly or hospitable as other servers
we have enjoyed. The combination of tables and bench seating along one side of
the restaurant resulted in a less than desirable degree of privacy. Unfortunately
we were seated on this side. Other areas of the restaurant appear to offer more
privacy in booths and table and chairs. Although we didn’t sample their
wines, they appeared to have a fairly good selection and a well stocked bar.
