Our party
of 4 visited the Copper Cellar Restaurant on January
5, 2005 at
about 5:30 pm during one of the few snow shower of the winter season. This old established restaurant shares a common entrance with Cappuccino's Restaurant. The
Copper Cellar is known for its hot, juicy steaks, slow roasted prime rib, cold-water lobster tails, and fine wines.

Copper
Cellar offers fine dining and some of the best steaks in Knoxville, which we experienced during our visit. This original Copper Cellar was established in 1975 on Cumberland Avenue below the Cumberland Grill. The Knoxville based Copper Cellar restaurant chain includes Calhoun’s, Cappuccino’s,
Smokey Mountain Brewery, Chesapeake’s, Cherokee Grill, Cumberland Grill, and Copper Cellar. Additional information about each of these fine restaurants is available by following
the links on the Copper Cellar web site, referenced above. The food at the Copper
Cellar was very good and served in reasonable quantities. Unfortunately, the
lighting levels were so low it was difficult to see the various menus (wine, Copper Cellar, and Cappuccino’s). Seating arrangements were also somewhat close, making it difficult to carry on a private
conversation. The quality of the food was excellent and the overall dinning experience
good. But be prepared to pay slightly above average prices.
